Which washing machine is best in 2026: ratings
We rated ten popular washing machines on energy class, noise, capacity and warranty in Ukraine. First place goes to the Samsung WW90DG5G34ABLE at UAH 24,999; the cheapest in the ranking is a 6 kg Beko at UAH 15,199.

In short
- First place: the Samsung WW90DG5G34ABLE (8 points out of 8): 9 kg, class A with the lowest energy efficiency index in the sample at 46.7, quiet spin (72 dB, class A), a 36-month warranty and 10 years on the motor. On Rozetka on 27 October 2026 it cost UAH 24,999.
- Next come the Samsung WW80FG3M05AWLF and Bosch WAN28281UA (7 points each) and the LG F4Y2VS5JE (6.5). The cheapest machine in the ranking, the 6 kg Beko BM1WFSU36233WB, costs UAH 15,199 and scores 5.5 points.
- Top-loaders lose to front-loaders on energy class (C versus A–B), noise (78 dB) and capacity (6 kg), but they are narrower: 40 cm instead of 60.
- There are no public breakdown statistics by brand in Ukraine. European owner surveys exist, but their brand-level figures are paywalled, so we did not score reliability.
- In hryvnias, the difference in energy class is small: between the most and least efficient machines in the ranking it comes to about UAH 50 per 100 washes.
How we rated them
We took the washing machines that topped the Rozetka and Foxtrot catalogues by popularity on 27 October 2026, and for each one we used data from the product information sheet (energy label) or the manufacturer's page. Four criteria, with a maximum of 8 points:
- Energy efficiency class: up to 2 points. On the current A–G scale (“eco 40–60” programme): A gets 2, B 1.5, C 1, D 0.5.
- Spin noise: up to 2 points. The class from the label: A (under 73 dB) gets 2, B (73–77 dB) 1.5, C (77–81 dB) 1, D 0.5.
- Capacity: up to 2 points. 9 kg or more gets 2, 8 kg 1.5, 7 kg 1, 6 kg 0.5.
- Manufacturer's warranty in Ukraine: up to 2 points. 36 months gets 1, 24 gets 0.5, 12 gets 0, plus 1 more point for a ten-year commitment on the motor.
We did not score price; instead we sorted the machines into price categories. We did not score reliability either, and here is why.
Is there any data on brand reliability?
There is no Ukrainian data. Neither service centres, nor manufacturers, nor consumer organisations publish breakdown statistics for washing machines by brand. What you find online are opinions of shops and repairmen without figures.
In Europe such data is collected, but the brand-level figures are paid for:
- Which? (UK) surveyed owners of 5,588 washing machines bought within the last 7 years in 2025. The most common faults were the drum or its bearings (12% of faults) and failure for no apparent reason (11%); leaks accounted for 6%. The share of broken machines by brand is available only to subscribers.
- Test-Aankoop (Belgium), together with organisations from nine other countries, collected 39,543 responses about 13 brands. The average service life is 12 years; the reliability index of all brands but one is 82–94 out of 100, and of that one, 75. Brand names and scores are for members only.
- Stiftung Warentest (Germany) runs three machines of each model through 1,200 cycles in the lab. Some models failed the endurance test, but the names are in the paid section.
The practical takeaway: for reliability, the brand matters less than the warranty and a service centre nearby. That is why those are what we rated.

Best washing machines by price category
Under UAH 16 thousand: Beko BM1WFSU36233WB
The cheapest machine in the ranking: UAH 15,199 at both Rozetka and Foxtrot. A 6 kg load, 45 cm deep, class B (0.482 kWh and 43 L of water per “eco 40–60” cycle), 74 dB on spin. The main argument is the warranty: in Ukraine Beko gives 36 months on washing machines and 10 years on the ProSmart inverter motor, covering parts, the call-out and the technician's labour.
UAH 16–22 thousand: Samsung WW80FG3M05AWLF
For UAH 18,999 you get 8 kg, class A (index 52.0, 0.473 kWh and 48 L per cycle), spin up to 1,400 rpm, an inverter motor and steam treatment. Depth is 48 cm. It is louder than the higher-end Samsung: 76 dB (class B). Samsung's warranty in Ukraine is 36 months, and the Digital Inverter motor is covered for 10 years on machines sold from 1 April 2026.
If you need a slim machine, the same budget gets you the LG F2Y2HS6WE (UAH 20,699): 7 kg at a depth of 44 cm, class A, 75 dB, Inverter DirectDrive and steam. But LG's general warranty is 12 months.
UAH 22–30 thousand: Samsung WW90DG5G34ABLE
The winner of the ranking at UAH 24,999. Its energy efficiency index of 46.7 is the best among those tested: class A with room to spare (the class limit is 52), and Samsung itself labels it “A −10%”. Per “eco 40–60” cycle it uses 0.444 kWh and 50 L of water; spin up to 1,400 rpm at 72 dB (class A). Depth is 48 cm, 56 cm including the door.
The alternative is the Bosch WAN28281UA (UAH 28,799): just as quiet (72 dB, class A) and efficient (index 50.7, 47 L of water), 8 kg, with a brushless EcoSilence Drive motor under a ten-year warranty. The downsides are a depth of 59 cm and a price UAH 3.8 thousand higher for a smaller drum.
Top-loading or front-loading washing machine
A top-loader is the choice when there is no 60 cm of space: these machines are 40 cm wide and usually have a 6–6.5 kg drum. The Whirlpool TDLR 6040L and Indesit BTW S60400 have identical specifications (90 × 40 × 60 cm), so they are most likely one platform sold under two brands.
| Parameter | Whirlpool TDLR 6040L (top-loader) | Beko BM1WFSU36233WB (front-loader) | LG F2Y2HS6WE (slim front-loader) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dimensions (H × W × D), cm | 90 × 40 × 60 | 85 × 60 × 45 | 85 × 60 × 44 |
| Capacity | 6 kg | 6 kg | 7 kg |
| Energy class / kWh per cycle | C / 0.559 | B / 0.482 | A / 0.444 |
| Water per cycle | 43 L | 43 L | 43 L |
| Spin noise | 78 dB (C) | 74 dB (B) | 75 dB (B) |
| Price at Rozetka, 27.10.2026 | UAH 19,579 | UAH 15,199 | UAH 20,699 |
Conclusion: for the same money or less, a front-loader is more efficient, quieter and has a bigger drum. A top-loader only makes sense when the recess is narrower than 60 cm but deep enough (60 cm plus room to open the lid on top). If depth rather than width is the constraint, look at slim front-loaders of 44–46 cm, such as the LG F2Y2HS6WE or Bosch WLZ24200UA (46 cm, 8 kg).

- Energy and noise. The 9 kg Samsung is more efficient (index 46.7 versus 51.9 for the LG) and quieter on spin (72 dB versus 75). In the 7–8 kg pair, both machines are class A.
- Depth. The 7 kg LG is 44 cm deep, slimmer than the 8 kg Samsung (48 cm). The 9 kg LG, on the other hand, is deeper: 55 cm versus 48.
- Motor. LG uses Inverter DirectDrive, Samsung a Digital Inverter motor. Both manufacturers offer steam and give 10 years on the motor (LG's additional commitment covers specific motor parts).
- Warranty and service. Samsung's general warranty in Ukraine is 36 months, LG's is 12. Samsung states it has more than 60 authorised service centres in Ukraine; LG does not publish a number, only a service centre locator map.
Bottom line: at current prices and warranty terms, Samsung is the better deal in each pair. LG is worth buying if you need a shallow 7 kg machine or if a particular model is noticeably cheaper at your store.
Popular models not in the ranking
These machines also sit at the top of the catalogues, but we found no official data for them on the current A–G label, so comparing them with the others would be unfair:
- Indesit OMTWSE 61051 WK UA (UAH 14,499): 6 kg, 42.5 cm deep. The information sheet uses the old scale (A+++), spin noise 76 dB.
- Whirlpool WRBSB 6228 B UA (UAH 16,899): 6 kg, 42.5 cm deep, also an old label, spin noise 83 dB.
- Electrolux EWS6406BU (UAH 16,599) and the top-loading Electrolux EW6T427U (UAH 21,257): specifications are available only on store websites; the manufacturer's page would not open. Electrolux's general warranty in Ukraine is 12 months.
- Midea MFE06W60W (UAH 10,499): the cheapest full-size machine among the bestsellers, but the data comes only from stores and uses the old scale (A+).
How much electricity for washing costs
For households, electricity in 2026 costs UAH 4.32 per kWh (the fixed price applies until 30 April 2027). The most efficient machine in the ranking, the Samsung WW90DG5G34ABLE, uses 0.444 kWh per “eco 40–60” cycle, or about UAH 1.9. The Whirlpool top-loader uses 0.559 kWh, about UAH 2.4. Over 100 washes the difference is about UAH 50. So the energy class is more an indicator of a machine's quality than a way to save money: it affects the purchase price more than your electricity bill.
